We are a missionary couple, lifestyle promoters, passionate about the sea and nature. In 2010, celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary, we decided to explore the Caribbean coast of our beloved Costa Rica for the first time. It was love at first sight: every detail of the place captivated us, and from then on, the dream was born within us that, when God allowed it, we would have a space to continue treasuring memories and experiences in this very special place.

That dream grew until, with God's blessing, we arrived at El Refugio Puerto Viejo: a home near the sea that we share with you today, so you too can enjoy, rest, and make memories in the beauty of the Costa Rican Caribbean.

Our missionary responsibilities keep us mostly in the Caribbean mountains, about three hours from Puerto Viejo. There, we dedicate ourselves to teaching and sharing lifestyle practices that promote holistic health and help many people prevent or cope with various ailments through educational programs.
